Elizabethville - Jayne T. Aucker, 84, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at her home. She was born Friday, August 31, 1923 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Stretch Troutman. She was married to Dr. Ralph Stanley Aucker of Elizabethville. Jayne was a teacher for most of her life, she was active in the Girl Scouts, she served on the board and was the Executive Director of the Upper Dauphin Human Services Center, she was a board member of the Dauphin County MHMR, she was a board member and employee of the Retarded Citizens Association and instrumental in the formation of Camp Susquehanna for Retarded Citizens, she taught English as a second language to many Vietnamese people throughout the area, and she was a substitute teacher for the Upper Dauphin Area School District. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ., Elizabethville. In addition to her husband Ralph, Jayne is survived by her daughter Alice Witmer of Lykens, her son Stan Aucker of Elizabethville, her daughter Ann Llorca of St. Augustine Beach, FL, her daughter Lou Barder of Elizabethville, and her brother, Walter Troutman of Dover, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Andrew, Kyle, Drew, Katie, Colin, Alec, and Luke; and great grandson Carter. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Buffington.. Services will be held at Salem U.C.C., Elizabethville Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11 AM. Friends will be received 10-11 AM, Saturday at the church. Interment will be private in the Fairview Cemetery at Verdilla in Selinsgrove, PA. Hoover - Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville is handling the arrangements.
